In this lecture,speaker intend to show how India adapted the tools of modern biology and technology as early as 65 years ago,with the Green Revolution,and how it grew far faster since the 1970s,once molecular biology,genetics,cloning and expression of genes,and immunologybecame popular in the country,and how since then it has now become a US$11.6 Billion Industry. The role of individual leaders,the governments and private industry in this remarkable success will be highlighted.
